Ms. Courtney Miller is a Fort Worth native who graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelors of Art in English. She attended Texas Tech School of Law, where she was named to the Board of Barristers. She also interned with the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office in the juvenile division, handling the entirety of the Truancy docket in the Justice of the Peace courts. Upon graduation and passing the Bar, Courtney started as a prosecutor in Collin County. She rose through the ranks as a Misdemeanor Chief, then a felony prosecutor in less than three years. She left the DA’s office in 2008 to start work on the criminal defense side.
After 8 years away, in 2010 Ms. Miller decided it was time to come back to Fort Worth. She joined the law firm of Dunham & Jones in 2012. Ms. Miller is skilled in both trial and appellate work and has argued in front of the Court of Criminal Appeals of Texas, the court of final jurisdiction for criminal cases in the state. She is also a sought after public speaker on various aspects of DWI trials.
