
Before going to law school, Jim was a Chief Petty Officer serving on submarines in the United State’s Navy. From there, he began a career in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff and assistant fire marshal. His experience as a law enforcement officer and arson investigator gives him a unique understanding of the criminal investigation and prosecution process.
Jim has appeared in State and Federal courts on behalf of his clients. His trial experience includes all types of criminal cases including felony assault and sex crimes; narcotics and related offenses; DWI and intoxication related offenses. He has also appeared in civil trial courts defending clients in fatal work and traffic incidents.
Jim’s experience also includes appeal cases where he has argued before courts of appeal and is admitted to practice before the Untied State’s Supreme Court.
