Lastenia assists the firm’s Immigration team and focuses on Removal Defense, she is a passionate advocate who can easily identify issues well before the client even knows there is a problem.
Prior to moving to the United States, Lastenia lived in Honduras and graduated with honors from The Catholic University of Honduras. Lastenia’s legal exposure started in the Supreme Court of Justice, where she worked for a period of three years as a Judicial Assistant for a Civil Judge, and upon arrival in the United States, Lastenia worked for over six years in a law firm in Florida, handling business, family and Immigration law.
Lastenia has respect for the diversity of cultures and a burning desire to advocate for those in need of justice. She is currently finishing her second master’s degree, focused on Trial Advocacy, she knows that the legal issues a client might face inside the courtroom have an impact in its freedom but, she also understands that having empathy with people’s situation is just as necessary to ensure that their rights are protected.
