During her time at the University of Houston, Ricque discovered her passion for criminal law. She interned with both the Harris County and Galveston County District Attorney’s Offices, and volunteered her time to various projects spearheaded by the Houston Bar Association and Texas Indigent Defense Commission. These projects focused on educating citizens about their constitutional rights, and protecting them from government misfeasance. After earning her law degree, Ricque spent several years as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Galveston County, where she had the opportunity to try many cases ranging from Class B misdemeanor offenses to first degree felonies.
Ricque’s passion for criminal defense comes from a belief that everyone deserves to have a zealous advocate in their corner, to be well-informed throughout the process, and to be treated with respect at every stage. She loves trying cases and being in the courtroom, just as much as she enjoys being in her office getting to her know her clients.
When she’s not at work, you can find Ricque out fishing with her boys, playing with her dogs, or lounging around with family and friends.
