Kallee Congdon graduated from Baylor University with a B.A. in psychology. She then earned her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law where she completed the Mediation Clinic to become a trained mediator. After graduating law school, Kallee practiced criminal defense and represented clients in multiple counties including Bell, Coryell, Williamson, McLennan, Lampasas and Fort Hood. During that time, she primarily handled DWI cases and became certified as a Standardized Field Sobriety Test Practitioner by completing the same field sobriety training that officers are required to take. She was recognized multiple times as a top DWI attorney by American Institute of DUI/DWI Attorneys and American Jurist Institute.
She then joined the Bell County Attorney’s office in 2020 as a prosecutor. During her tenure as a prosecutor, Kallee handled DWIs, thefts, drug cases and family violence cases through all stages from screening through sentencing. In addition to prosecuting misdemeanors, she also handled the mental health dockets collaborating with defense attorneys, social workers and court staff regarding defendants with mental health diagnoses and competency.
She came back to defense work to help protect the constitutional rights of defendants. She is a member of Texas Bar College and TCDLA. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, golf and most importantly spending time with her dogs.
