Ethan Smartt, Nashville Criminal Attorney

Ethan Smartt graduated from the University of Tennessee in 2007 with a B.S. in Communications and a Minor in Business. After a brief stint working as a producer and sports reporter for radio stations and newspapers in and around the Knoxville, TN area, Ethan enrolled at the University of Tennessee College of Law in the fall of 2009, graduating in 2012 and was then admitted to the Tennessee Bar in November of 2012. Ethan has practiced criminal law on the defense side for essentially the entirety of his career, representing clients on everything from traffic tickets to serious felony charges. Over the course of his career, Ethan has appeared in over half of Tennessee's 95 counties from Memphis to Johnson City, gaining extensive motion and trial practice along the way and has taken cases from the filing of charges all the way up to the Court of Criminal Appeals. Outside of work, Ethan enjoys fumbling about on his guitar, golfing, attending live music shows, and spending time with his family in Knoxville, TN.
