Warren Waterman, Dallas Criminal Attorney

Warren O. Waterman is a criminal defense trial lawyer in the Dallas office of Dunham & Jones. He appears most often in Dallas, Ellis, Kaufman, and Rockwall Counties, where he defends people charged with DWI, drug possession, assaultive offenses, weapons charges, fraud, and serious felonies. He has tried more than 100 jury trials to verdict, nearly all of them as first chair, and has handled more than 20,000 cases.

Before moving to the defense side, Mr. Waterman worked as a prosecutor. As an Assistant District Attorney in Williamson County, he led the Juvenile Division and served as the prosecutor in the county’s DWI and drug court. He also served as an Assistant County Attorney in both Williamson and Ector Counties and as a Senior Assistant City Attorney in Odessa.

He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Utah in 1989 and his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1992, where he was elected the law school’s representative to the Texas Tech University Student Senate. Texas licensed him in 1993, and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas admitted him that same year.
