Harrison Chase Stewart is a criminal defense attorney in the Lubbock office of Dunham & Jones. A Lubbock native, he focuses on felony and DWI cases and appears most often in Lubbock, Gaines, Hale, and Scurry Counties.Mr. Stewart earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Lubbock Christian University in 2015, where he was voted Most Promising Professional. At UNT Dallas College of Law, he competed in moot court and mock trial and received awards for Best Brief and Best Orator. He earned his Juris Doctor in 2018 and was licensed in Texas that year.
From 2018 to 2022, Mr. Stewart served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Lubbock County, handling felony and misdemeanor cases and ultimately serving as a Court Chief. That work showed him how the State evaluates a case, prepares for trial, and presents evidence to a jury. Between the District Attorney’s Office and Dunham & Jones, he has handled more than 200 cases. He completed the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) DWI training course through the Lubbock Police Academy in 2018. He has also taught as an adjunct professor in Lubbock Christian University’s criminal justice department, covering Courts and Criminal Procedure and the Fundamentals of Texas Criminal Law.
Mr. Stewart knows that people often come to him on the worst days of their lives. His goal is to leave each client in a better position than when they first walked into his office, giving empathetic counsel while he fights for the client’s constitutional rights.
Outside of work, Mr. Stewart is an avid hunter, an amateur chef, and a watch collector.
