Dante Bria, Dallas Criminal Attorney

Dante Bria is a criminal defense attorney in the Dallas office of Dunham & Jones. Most of his cases involve assault family violence charges, and because he speaks Spanish, he also handles the firm's Spanish-language cases in Dallas across many kinds of charges. He appears in Dallas County courts at the Frank Crowley Courts Building.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mr. Bria has lived in Dallas for most of his life. He grew up and went to school in Dallas, his close family lives in the area, and he has stayed involved in the community through his work, his friends, and organizations like the Boy Scouts.

He earned a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Law from Babson College in Massachusetts in 2018, graduating with high honors. At Babson he was a founding member of the Babson Fashion Group and took part in Big Brothers Big Sisters. From 2020 to 2021 he worked at Goldman Sachs in Dallas as a junior analyst in commodities confirmations.

Mr. Bria earned his law degree from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2024. Through SMU's Criminal Clinic, he represented indigent defendants in Dallas County. He also worked with Dallas criminal defense attorney Erin Hendricks on misdemeanor and felony cases, first as an extern in the spring of 2023 and then as her law clerk. Licensed in Texas in 2025, he has handled hundreds of cases. He is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and serves on its New Lawyers, Cannabis, and Crimmigration Committees.

Mr. Bria went to law school to become a criminal defense attorney. To him, the work is about protecting people from government overreach and making sure the process is fair and equal, and it lets him help people through some of the hardest times in their lives.

Outside of work, he enjoys watching sports, reading, working with his hands and building things, and collecting sneakers.
