Zach Hundt, Denton Criminal Attorney

Carl Zachary Hundt is a criminal defense attorney in the Denton office of Dunham & Jones. He handles misdemeanor cases, most of them DWI charges, and appears most often in Denton County Criminal Courts No. 3 and No. 5.

Mr. Hundt grew up in Cooke County, just north of Denton County, and lives in Denton County today. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2020 with a B.A. in Government and a minor in History, and he earned his law degree cum laude from the Texas A&M University School of Law in 2023.

During law school, he interned with the Dallas County Public Defender's Office in 2022 and with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth Division, in 2023. After graduating, he interned at the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office. Once he was licensed in Texas in 2023, Mr. Hundt started his career at Dunham & Jones, where he has handled hundreds of cases, including jury trial.

Mr. Hundt reviews the evidence from both the State and his client, then discusses all options with the client and works toward a resolution in the client's best interest. He became a criminal defense attorney to make sure every person's rights are protected and that his clients' stories are told.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing with his cats.
