Alexandra Schooley, Fort Worth Criminal Attorney

Alexandra Schooley is a criminal defense attorney in the Fort Worth office of Dunham & Jones. She handles misdemeanors and felonies in equal measure and appears most often in Tarrant and Johnson Counties. She has tried more than 10 jury trials as first chair and more than 20 as second chair, and she has handled more than 1,000 cases.

Ms. Schooley was born in Canada and grew up in Flower Mound, spending much of her childhood in and around Fort Worth. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in sociology and criminology from Texas Tech University in 2017, with minors in Spanish and legal studies, and went on to the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.

In law school she interned with the Juvenile Lifers Without Parole Clinic, working on sentencing questions and the rights of incarcerated youth, and she clerked at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson in Houston in the summer of 2018. She was licensed in Texas in 2021 and joined Dunham & Jones.

Ms. Schooley represents clients with professionalism, compassion, and steady attention to due process. She does criminal defense work because she enjoys helping people who cannot help themselves. She is a member of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.

Outside of work, Ms. Schooley cooks, gardens, reads, works out, and goes to sporting events.
