Caleb Dean Weeldreyer, Midland Criminal Attorney

Caleb Dean Weeldreyer is a criminal defense attorney in the Midland office of Dunham & Jones. He handles DWI, assault and family violence, and racing cases in Ector and Midland Counties. He has tried about a dozen jury trials as first chair and about a dozen more as second chair, and he has handled hundreds of cases.

Mr. Weeldreyer grew up outside Emery, South Dakota, on his family's farm, where they raised corn and soybeans and ran a cow-calf operation with 200 head of Black Angus cattle. He earned his B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Sioux Falls and his Juris Doctor from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law in 2021, where he served on the trial team. He was licensed in Nebraska in 2022 and in Texas in 2023.

Mr. Weeldreyer approaches every case with professionalism. He listens to each client to learn what they expect and how he can help. He does criminal defense work because the Constitution matters to him and protecting other people's liberties is part of the country's foundation. Without defense attorneys, he says, no one stands in the way of officers and prosecutors who abuse their power.

He and his wife bought a house in Midland, where she teaches music in Ector County ISD. They have a young daughter and attend Hope Community Church. He runs with the 432 Run Crew, belongs to the Trek Bike club, and plays golf.
