Dean C. Godfrey, Austin Criminal Attorney

Dean C. Godfrey is a criminal defense attorney in the Austin office of Dunham & Jones. He handles felony and misdemeanor cases in counties across Texas and has tried at least 10 jury trials.

Mr. Godfrey earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, with a minor in business, from the University of Texas at Austin in 2011. He then completed a dual degree at Texas Tech University, earning his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2015 along with an M.B.A. from the Rawls College of Business. He was licensed in Texas in 2015.

Before joining Dunham & Jones, Mr. Godfrey worked as an elder law and civil litigation associate attorney from 2017 to 2019. In 2019 he opened his own firm, Dean Godfrey Law, PLLC, and practiced estate planning and civil litigation there until 2024.

Outside of work, Mr. Godfrey enjoys live music, Longhorn football, going to the lake, and spending time with his dog, Jesse.
