Terence Bajuk, Fort Worth Criminal Attorney

Terence Bajuk is a Senior Felony Attorney in the Fort Worth office of Dunham & Jones. He has spent more than three decades practicing criminal defense in North Texas and has handled several thousand cases, from Class C citations to first-degree felonies and appeals. He now focuses on felony defense.

Mr. Bajuk began his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame and then transferred to the University of New Mexico. He went on to Texas Tech University School of Law, graduated in 1994, and has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since that year.

He began his career in 1995 with the Law Firm of John L. Corn in Dallas. In 1997 he opened his own practice in Bedford and ran it for twenty-three years, focusing mainly on criminal defense. From 2002 to 2020 he also worked as a contract attorney with Ross and Matthews in Fort Worth, the firm that provides legal services to Pre-Paid Legal and LegalShield members across Texas. That role brought him a steady stream of cases from all over the state.

At Dunham & Jones, Mr. Bajuk handles mostly state jail felonies, along with first-, second-, and third-degree felony cases. In Fort Worth his felony docket has centered on the 297th and 396th District Courts in Tarrant County, and he helps the firm's other attorneys with felony and misdemeanor matters in other courts. Decades of practice in North Texas courts have taught him how those courts work and how cases in them actually get resolved.

Mr. Bajuk believes most cases start with the client's story: how the person came into contact with the justice system, and which facts support a legitimate defense. He is honest with clients that no lawyer can guarantee an outcome, because every result depends on the law and the facts. What he does promise is that their rights will be protected and that he will fight for the best result the case allows.

He is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
