Christopher Ryan Wilkes, Plano Criminal Attorney

Christopher Ryan Wilkes is the managing attorney of the Plano office of Dunham & Jones. He runs the office and handles intake for people facing criminal charges in Collin, Grayson, Hunt, Fannin, and Rockwall Counties, and he has handled thousands of cases as a managing attorney.

Mr. Wilkes was born and raised in Irving and spent part of his childhood in the Ark-La-Tex region of East Texas, and he takes many of the firm's East Texas consultations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from the University of North Texas in 2013 and his Juris Doctor from Texas A&M University School of Law in 2017 on an academic scholarship. During law school he externed with the felony division of the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.

Licensed in Texas in 2017, Mr. Wilkes started on the corporate side at Kelly Hart and Hallman, where he worked from 2018 to 2019 and again from 2021 to 2023. In between he handled commercial real estate at Baker Monroe PLLC and ran his own practice doing estate planning, real estate, and business work. Before taking on intake and management at Dunham & Jones, he handled hundreds of immigration matters for the firm.

He is a Fellow of the Napa Legal Institute, a think tank that provides legal resources to nonprofits, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, and he volunteers with Catholic Charities in support of refugees. Outside of work he enjoys tennis, guitar, the outdoors, reading, and family.
