Austin earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Southern University A&M College, followed by a Juris Doctorate from the Southern University Law Center. During his time as a law student, Austin served as a student attorney in both the Criminal Defense Clinic and Expungement Initiative, where he provided vital legal services to indigent clients in the Baton Rouge area. Additionally, Austin interned at the Public Defender’s office, gaining valuable insight into the legal field.
