Lynda Jetton, Houston Criminal Attorney

Lynda graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She furthered her education at the historic Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law.

Lynda structured her time in law school around her passion for criminal law. She previously served as President of the Criminal Law Society. As a student attorney in the esteemed Criminal Defense Clinic, she developed litigation and other trial advocacy skills. She successfully earned several dismissals and favorable plea bargains for indigent clients daily. She also assisted with trials and helped successfully settle felony and misdemeanor trials. During this time, she saw first hand the discrepancies and disparate impact the criminal justice system has on indigent communities.

Prior to joining Dunham & Jones, Lynda worked as a criminal defense attorney in the Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan areas. She has handled a variety of cases ranging from low misdemeanors to high felonies. Throughout her career, Lynda has demonstrated a commitment to criminal justice reform and advocating for her clients’ rights.

Today, Lynda is admitted to practice law in Texas and Missouri. She aims to serve those in need of access to legal services with passion, tenacity and determination. She fights to protect her clients’ rights, ensuring their voices are heard from fair arraignments to fair trials.

In her spare time, Lynda enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and cooking Caribbean-style cuisines
