Joseph Lindberg is the managing attorney of the Houston law office for Dunham & Jones, a statewide criminal defense firm with a long record of representing individuals charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses. In his role as managing attorney, Joseph oversees the office’s legal work, guides case strategy, and supports other attorneys and staff in delivering careful and effective defense representation across the Houston area and surrounding counties.

Joseph’s path to criminal defense began with his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. During his time at university, he developed skills in communication, research, and analytical thinking that would become foundational in his later legal work. After completing his undergraduate degree, he pursued his law degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago John Marshall Law School. While in law school, Joseph gained early courtroom exposure through part-time work as a law clerk and as a judicial intern. These roles gave him firsthand experience with legal research, case preparation, and the procedural work that supports both prosecutorial and defense litigation.

After earning his Juris Doctor, Joseph chose to relocate to Texas and focus his legal career exclusively on criminal defense. This decision set the stage for his work across several Dunham & Jones offices throughout the state. He has worked in the Dallas and San Antonio offices of the firm, gaining experience defending a wide range of cases. While in San Antonio, he served as the managing attorney, a leadership role that involved supervising legal teams, advising on complex legal issues, and ensuring that defense strategies were developed with both depth and rigor. His movement through multiple offices reflects both his adaptability and his commitment to serving clients in diverse legal environments.

Today, as the managing attorney of the Houston office, Joseph oversees one of Dunham & Jones’s key locations in Texas. Houston’s legal environment includes some of the busiest criminal court dockets in the state, spanning urban and suburban counties. In this role, he works with attorneys on everything from early case evaluation through trial preparation and court proceedings. His focus is on protecting the rights of individuals accused of crimes and ensuring that every client receives personalized, thoughtful representation.

Joseph handles a broad spectrum of criminal matters, including DUI/DWI defense, assault and domestic violence allegations, drug possession cases, theft and property crimes, and other misdemeanor and felony offenses. His legal training and practical experience allow him to analyze evidence, evaluate legal issues, and develop defense strategies tailored to the unique circumstances of each client’s case.
