Abigail Cecilia ‘Abby’ Keese, Houston Criminal Attorney

Abigail Cecilia 'Abby' Keese is a criminal defense attorney in the Houston office of Dunham & Jones. She handles all misdemeanors and most felonies, most often DWI cases, and appears most in Fort Bend County. She has handled more than 350 cases and speaks Spanish with clients.

Born and raised in Dallas, Ms. Keese earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Texas Tech University in 2018 and stayed for law school, earning her law degree with a concentration in civil rights and anti-discrimination. During law school she took part in a capital punishment defense clinic with the Regional Public Defender's Office, which is where her interest in defending people facing the most serious charges took hold. She served as National Liaison and later Vice President of the National Lawyers Guild chapter and as Treasurer and later Vice President of OutLaw, and she received an award at graduation for her pro bono work. She was licensed in Texas in 2025.

Before law school, Ms. Keese worked on the management team at the Four Seasons in Palo Alto, California, from 2019 to 2021.

Every client's situation is different, so Ms. Keese treats every case differently. She gets all of the evidence and reviews it closely to see whether the police violated her client's rights, then works the case from there. A member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, she does this work because everyone deserves someone willing to fight for them, whatever their circumstances.

Outside the courtroom, Ms. Keese reads, listens to music, goes to concerts, and spends time with her two pets.
