Amy Mintah has been practicing law in Canada since 2016. She obtained her Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminology prior to going onto law school. During law school, Amy represented clients who had been wrongfully convicted of murder, among other serious criminal offenses. During law school, she also interned at the Department of Justice where she assisted drafting the Canadian Victims Bill of Rights. In addition to this, she interned with the late Justice Rosenberg, a former Ontario Court of Appeal judge, on a project that was developed to assist self-represented litigants in criminal court. After becoming licensed to practice law in Ontario, Amy began her legal career appearing before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board, among other tribunals and courts. Her practice has also included real estate, wills and estates and corporate law. Amy is passionate about criminal defense and will diligently defend all of her clients to ensure every single client will have the best possible outcome. When she is not working, she runs marathons and loves traveling and spending time outdoors.
