Helen Tzuyun Wang, Dallas Criminal Attorney

Helen Tzuyun Wang is a criminal defense attorney in the Dallas office of Dunham & Jones. She handles misdemeanor cases, including DWI, assault and family violence, drug, weapons, and theft charges, and she appears most often in Dallas County Criminal Courts Nos. 3 and 7. Her primary goals are to protect her clients' constitutional rights and serve their interests, and she believes hope and accountability can coexist.

Ms. Wang was born and raised in Taiwan and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Movement Studies from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2019. Before attending law school, she worked as a legal assistant for Plano criminal defense attorney Maria Tu from 2021 to 2022, where she gained early exposure to criminal defense practice.

She received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2025 and was licensed in Texas that year. During law school, she interned with the Harris County District Attorney's Office from 2023 to 2025, where she tried a misdemeanor assault case to a jury as first chair as a law student. In 2025 she worked as a judicial extern with the United States Army Trial Judiciary at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas, where she conducted legal research, drafted rulings for military judges, and observed courts-martial proceedings.

She practices criminal defense because the work makes her a better advocate. Outside of work, she runs, hikes, does calisthenics, and enjoys food and music.
