Cody Gomora, Fort Worth Criminal Attorney

Cody Gomora joined the Fort Worth Division of Dunham & Jones in January of 2023. In addition to being licensed by the State Bar of Texas, Cody is also admitted to practice in the Northern District of Texas.

Cody is a former Arlington police officer where he was an academy instructor, use of force reporting subject matter expert, and rookie of the year nominee. Cody was also a member of the Entertainment District and Tourism Unit in Arlington’s nationally famous entertainment district -- home to the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and Arlington Renegades. In his time as an officer, Cody was a primary or secondary investigator in numerous felony and misdemeanor cases.

Cody is also a former Tarrant County prosecutor. At the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office, Cody handled thousands of cases including hundreds of DWI and family violence cases that had been filed after arrest. After prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases in Tarrant County, Cody was recruited and hired at an AmLaw 100 law firm practicing civil defense before coming back to his criminal law roots at Dunham & Jones.

Cody is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Criminal Law section of the State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Bar College. Cody is a native Texas and grew up in North Texas. Cody graduated from South Texas College of Law in Houston where he was a member of the school’s perennial power Moot Court team.

When not in the court room, Cody enjoys spending time with his family, working out, cooking, and woodworking.
