Mark Streiff was raised in Connecticut and at the age of 17 enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While spending a decade in the Marines, Mark had a wide range of responsibilities to include providing physical security to U.S. ambassadors, embassies, the Secretary of State, and the President and conducting counterintelligence investigations and interrogations. Mark is also a combat veteran, having completed multiple tours of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After being discharged from the Marines, Mark entered the private sector working in the automotive industry. Mark then entered a Veterans Affairs program that allowed him to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an attorney.
Mark first attended Tarrant County College where he earned an Associates of Arts degree in just 6 months and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. Just a little more than year after that he graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Mark then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas.
While in law school Mark decided he wanted to concentrate his future career in the criminal defense field. He participated in both the Actual Innocence and the Criminal Justice clinics at SMU. To hone his advocacy skills, Mark was extremely active in mock trial and moot court competitions where he and his teams advanced from ABA regional competitions to ABA national championship competitions multiple times. These accomplishments would earn Mark induction to the prestigious National Order of the Barristers.
Mark’s first job out of law school was working for a small immigration firm handling any clients criminal defense matters. Those cases involved anything from misdemeanors to serious felonies. He then moved to Dunham & Jones’s Fort Worth office where he felt he could put his skills to better use for more clients. Currently Mark primarily handles all types of cases for Dunham & Jones clients in Parker County, Texas courts.
Outside of work, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, blacksmithing, recreational shooting, watching sporting events and reading.
