While in Law School, Ryan participated in the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse Clinic and worked on death penalty cases defending citizens. There he defended cases at both the state and federal levels, at trial and appellate courts. He successfully suppressed evidence in a federal death penalty case, and assisted in discrediting state expert witness testimony.
After Law school, Ryan began his legal career with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted cases from the misdemeanor level to first degree felonies. In addition to trial court assignments in misdemeanor, juvenile, and felony, Ryan handled juvenile certifications, sex-crime staffing, and treatment/diversion courts.
Today, Ryan is excited to be working as a defense attorney, defending the rights of individual citizens and protecting against government overreach and corruption. As a zealous advocate who believes people are innocent until proven guilty, Ryan is dedicated to getting the best possible outcome for his clients. He takes pride in his work and seeks to assist every client to the fullest extent possible.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys outdoor recreation, spending time with friends and family, and fantasy football.
