Before joining Dunham & Jones, Jacob served as an Assistant District Attorney in Hidalgo, Bexar, and Travis Counties, where he spent ten years representing the people of Texas and advocating for victims, families, and communities.
Throughout his prosecutorial career, Jacob tried nearly forty jury trials to verdict, handling some of the most serious and complex criminal cases in the state, including capital murder, crimes against children, and major felony offenses. He also served as a Team Leader and Child Abuse Prosecutor, leading legal teams while helping protect vulnerable members of the community.
Jacob's professional strengths include case evaluation, jury selection, trial strategy, and the effective presentation of forensic and DNA evidence. His years of public service gave him a unique understanding of people from all walks of life and a deep appreciation for the values, concerns, and experiences that shape juror decision-making.
