Theo Kadia is a dedicated, self-motivated, and hard-working attorney with a passion and zeal for serving his clients and community.
Born in Kumba, Cameroon, Theo moved to Italy at a young age before eventually settling in the United States. He graduated from David W. Carter High School in Dallas, Texas, and went on to attend The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Iberian and Latin American Languages and Cultures, a Bachelor of Arts in Italian, and Liberal Arts Special Departmental Honors.
Theo earned his Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In recognition of his commitment to public service, volunteerism, and community advocacy, he received the 2023 Law Student Pro Bono Award from the Louisiana State Bar Association. During law school, he also earned four CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for achieving the highest grades in Criminal Law, Family Law, Immigration Law, and the Divorce/Domestic Violence Clinic.
His legal experience includes working with the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation, the Dallas County District Attorney's Office, and other private criminal and immigration firms. During his final year of law school, Theo served as President of the Southern University Law Center Health Law Society.
After passing the Texas Bar Exam, Theo served as an Assistant District Attorney in Kaufman County, Texas, where he prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases. During his tenure, he gained extensive trial and courtroom experience before bringing his litigation skills and prosecutorial background to Dunham & Jones.
Theo is fluent in five languages: English, Italian, Spanish, French, and Pidgin English. Outside the practice of law, he enjoys watching sports (soccer, college football, NBA, and NFL), traveling, working out, and learning new languages. He is also a certified personal trainer, a soccer referee, and a language tutor.
