Mr. Ayers earned his Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law, where he developed a strong interest in defending those facing life-altering allegations. While in law school, he interned with the Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted on cases involving family violence and crimes against children—experience that gave him valuable insight into prosecutorial strategy and courtroom procedure.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, graduating cum laude, and began his legal career by clerking under Collin County Probate Judge Weldon Copeland. He then established his own private practice—The Law Office of Allen M. Ayers—where he defended clients in a range of criminal matters before joining Dunham & Jones to work alongside one of the largest criminal defense teams in Texas.
Mr. Ayers is an active member of both the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA) and the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, staying current on evolving legal trends and defense strategies. His clients appreciate his calm yet assertive presence, his honest communication, and his dedication to ensuring their side of the story is heard.
