Edward E. Castillo earned a degree in Criminal Justice Administration from West Texas A&M University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law. Edward is a former probation officer and Assistant District Attorney who has spent his career in the courtroom. He has prosecuted and defended criminal cases ranging from traffic citations to first degree state cases as well as many civil litigation and juvenile matters since 2002. For the last several years, Edward has focused on representing those accused of minor and serious criminal offenses in all levels of state court including youthful offenders. During this time, Edward has tried over 140 cases to a jury or judge.
Edward is a member of the Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, The Tarrant County Bar Association, Tarrant County Mexican American Bar Association, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has proudly volunteered for Texas Lawyers for Texas Vets, a free clinic that serves those who served their country.
