Michael Olson earned his Bachelor of Science in Emergency Health Sciences from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio before earning his Juris Doctor from the University of North Texas Dallas College of Law. During law school, he focused his studies on criminal law, constitutional law, criminal procedure, and trial advocacy, while interning in both public and private criminal defense practices.
Before becoming an attorney, Michael spent more than twenty years working as a paramedic and flight paramedic throughout Texas and Colorado, responding to thousands of emergency calls involving trauma, violence, addiction, mental illness, and crisis intervention. He later worked as a high school science teacher, teaching college-level physics. His background in medicine, science, education, and crisis response provides him with a unique perspective when analyzing criminal cases involving forensic evidence, intoxication issues, medical records, and expert testimony.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, traveling, and following baseball.
